Spring Break Ski Trip...

For the first half of our Spring Break, we went skiing with a group of our very best friends. There were six adults and six kids- four rowdy boys and two sweet little girls. We decided to make the 10 hour drive to Angel Fire in a big 'ole 15 passenger bus so that we could all ride together in one vehicle. We weren't sure if this was going to turn out to be a smart thing or we were all going to be banging our heads against the windows by the end of the trip. The kids weren't perfect, but pretty darn close. We put the kids in the back with ipads and snacks, us girls got to chat and the men handled all the driving! Half the fun really was getting there and back!!

We arrived late that night and after filling our bellies with pizza, we put the kids to bed.

Roen fell asleep in the chair after dinner

The next morning, we made fried eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, cinnamon rolls, sipped coffee and enjoyed a quite morning while the kids ventured out into the snow!

Later that afternoon we hit the slopes, and then headed over to Red River for a little shopping and tubing. Tubing was a blast! After you RSVP, you are blocked off a whole hour where you get to tube as many times as you can! You could race, you could go in big groups, little groups or you could just go down by yourself. I think every single person had a smile on their face-- it was one of those experiences that make you feel like a kid all over again!

After tubing we headed over to a local Mexican Restaurant before heading back to Angel Fire were all the littles fell fast asleep in their seats. Our first day was a success and the boys picked skiing back up as if no time had passed at all!
